The Corporal Works of Mercy are found in the teachings of Jesus and give
us a model for how we should treat all others, as if they were Christ in
disguise. They are acts of charity which
we help our neighbors in their needs. They respond to the basic needs of
humanity as we journey together through this life. As we take a moment to reflect on these PICK
ONE! PICK TWO OR THREE. Imagine our hungry, lonely, war- torn world
if EVERY PERSON did just one work?
Ponder these in your heart. But
most importantly listen to the whisper of the Holy Spirit for a human need will
be before your eyes and pray that you would be so moved as to reach out and
comfort, raise up those bowed down.
