They
were all filled with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:4)
Today
we celebrate the great feast of Pentecost.
The Holy Spirit is traditionally referred to as the third member of the
Blessed Trinity and is manifested in the love shared between the Father and Son
and all of humanity. On this day the
apostles were filled with the love of God and empowered to go out and share
that great love with others.
The
Holy Spirit continues to guide us in love and wants us to experience this
love. As we live this day let us do so
knowing that God’s perfect love is there for us – all we have to do is
ask. Let the Spirit fill you with a
deeper sense of peace and a greater appreciation for Jesus. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide and
protect us in the days ahead!
